API Communication
Clearflow communicates with OpenAI's API to generate SEO suggestions. When you analyze a page, the following information is sent to OpenAI:
- The current page's title, meta description, H1 tags, and URL
- Issues identified in these elements that need improvement
No personally identifiable information is included in these API requests beyond what is publicly available on the webpage you're analyzing.
How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used solely for the following purposes:
- Page Analysis: To analyze the SEO aspects of the webpage and generate a score
- Generating Suggestions: To create AI-powered SEO recommendations for page improvement
- Feature Functionality: To enable features like copying suggestions to the clipboard
- Usage Tracking: To enforce usage limits for free users (2 analyses per month)
- Service Improvement: To improve the functionality and accuracy of our SEO recommendations
Data Storage and Retention
- Local Storage: SEO scores, analysis history, and usage data are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage APIs. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- API Communications: Data sent to OpenAI's API is not stored by us beyond the immediate processing needed to generate suggestions.
Third-Party Services
OpenAI API
We use OpenAI's API to generate SEO suggestions. When you analyze a page:
- We send the page's title, description, H1 tags, and URL to OpenAI
- OpenAI processes this data according to their privacy policy
